Forever a music nerd

So, I applied for a job online about a month and a half ago. My mom just found out somehow that the application never went through. My mom also decided it’s not worth me going to piano lessons anymore, even though I’ve had them for about 9 or so years. She says that I’m “never prepared” for them and “don’t ever practice” just because the last few have been during the month that our band is preparing to march in the parades. I have more important things on my mind right now, like the fact that I have a shitload of history work due friday that I’ve barely started, along with a major test, a major essay, SATs this saturday, math homework every night, I’m supposed to be thinking about where I’ll go to college, I’m supposed to have a job, and I have an art project that was supposed to be done today but isn’t because the picture I was drawing from decided to print the wrong way so now I have more work to do on it than everyone else. So, mom, I’m sorry I haven’t practiced the piano. But I honestly don’t care about that and won’t until my finals are over and done with. Sorry I’m not “super-child”. Maybe if you had a little less pressure on me to do everything 100x better than my screw-up of a brother, I would be a little more relaxed. Also, you say that “it’s fine” that piano doesn’t “come naturally” to me. Well, you’re not the first one to say that. It sucks enough to be shown up by a sophomore who makes jazz band over you, even though you’ll be a senior. I know I’m not good at anything, you don’t need to remind me.
